-Record information on tubing systems and perform pre- and post-harvest inspections of cropsof trees to ensure health of trees and suitability for harvesting;\ -Direct and monitor the work of casual and seasonal help during before, during and afterharvesting activities;\ - Perform all activities related to harvesting maple sap, to include clearing brush, installing andmaintaining tubing systems, tapping trees and removing, cleaning and storing equipment at\ the end of each season;\ - Have knowledge of, and experience using boiling and evaporation systems to transform maplesap to maple syrup;\ - Repair and maintain boiling systems, farm vehicles, and tubing system equipment;\ - Update and inform farmers or farm managers of crop progress;\ - Maintain lodging and grounds;\ - Store, maintain and package maple syrup for sale; and\ - Maintain and order supplies and inventory as required.
