TEKsystems Systems Administrator in Mt Laurel, New Jersey
Description:
The Systems Administrator is responsible for application support, monitoring and deployment within a primarily Windows environment. Regular job responsibilities will involve supporting a variety of technologies, customer and team driven projects, handling trouble tickets on a priority basis, participation in tasks related to helpdesk and desktop support service orders required to meet customer needs. Some travel may be required. A comprehensive performance management plan will involve the identification, discussion and implementation of personal and business related objectives and goals aimed at career and team development.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
To communicate with technical and non-technical individuals and teams
Work in a fast paced and dynamic production environment
Must be able to work independently with little supervision
Handle multiple tasks and projects with various and changing levels of priority
Provide technical support and direction to individuals and teams
Work irregular hours and on call rotation to meet business requirements
Strong customer service focus and sense of urgency
Superior problem solving and analytical skills
Dependable, self-motivated, organized, strong verbal and written communication skills
Minimum Qualifications:
Microsoft Windows Server technology for a minimum of four years
Web Server technologies for a minimum of two years
Azure/AWS for a minimum of one year
Solid knowledge of networking concepts and technologies (protocols, software & HW components)
Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent working experience
Microsoft Certified Systems Associate (MCSA) or equivalent certification(s)

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
There will be a little bit of remediation for production outages and some break/fix but not on a normal sys admin level
Couple hundred servers - small shop preferred, not enterprise level
Need to be ok being the middle man.
Willing to train the right person on the technical side
Open to someone up and coming, has done desktop for a couple years. But needs someone who has touched servers, has done patching, IIS configurations,
things along those lines. 2-3 years of sys admin experience
Citrix experience is good because they do have some end users that use VDI and DVMs
Service now for ticketing and change system
Azure DevOps for project tracking and some deployments
Octopus deploy is the main system that they use for the deployments
