Individual will provide will play a crucial role in guiding students through their educational journey,ensuring they make informed decisions regarding their academic and career goals. The advisor will provide comprehensive support and guidance to students enrolled in technical programs desiring to attend Weber State University,helping students navigate admissions,financial aid,career pathways and personal development. Duties of the position include the following:Conduct one-on-one advising sessions with students to assess their academic progress,interests,and goals.Provide personalized guidance on course selection,program requirements,and academic policies and procedures.Assist students in developing educational plans that align with their career aspirations and academic strengths.Organize and manage data collection for the students who transition to Weber State University.Facilitate and coordinate special projects and assignments.This position typically operates in an office environment within a technical college campus. This position will be split between Davis Technical College and Ogden-Weber Technical College. Some evening or weekend hours may be required to accommodate student schedules or campus events.
