Description We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will be part of the Accountancy industry, working in our office located near Edison New Jersey. You will be responsible for various accounting tasks such as handling accounts payable and receivable, executing bank reconciliations, and maintaining the general ledger. 1 to 3 years of tax preparation experience preferred.

Responsibilities: • Effectively handle accounts payable and receivable • Conduct bank reconciliations as part of the monthly close process • Maintain the general ledger and make necessary journal entries • Utilize accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, and QuickBooks for various accounting tasks • Use SAP and other Microsoft applications for data management and analysis • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations • Assist in the preparation of financial reports • Collaborate with the team to improve financial processes and systems • Respond to accounting inquiries from management in a timely and accurate manner • Participate in financial audits and implement audit recommendations. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processing

• Demonstrable experience with Bank Reconciliations

• Proficient in managing General Ledger tasks

• Ability to handle Journal Entries accurately

• Experience in Month End Close procedures

• Proficiency in NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP

• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information

• Excellent communication, organizational and time-management skills

• Good problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred

• Previous experience in a Staff Accountant role is advantageous

• detail oriented certification (e.g. CMA, CPA) is a plus.
